| Grandmaster Kyong H. Kim is well known by Taekwondo competitors of World Champion level for his dedication to develop Taekwondo academically and technically throughout the world. He takes great pride in passing his knowledge of Taekwondo to all his students as well as all other Taekwondo students across the world; helping to build self confidence, strength, and stamina in all his students both young and old. Grandmaster Kim has served as an 2000 Sydney Olympic Official delagate, the United National Team Head Coach, U.S. national Collegiate Team Head Coach(2000-2009) as well as Korean National Championship Team Head Coach. | ![]() |
He was born and learned Taekwondo in Korea and he won many
championship titles & Medals: Korean Olympic Festival Regionals(Chun
Book). Korean National Collegiate Championships, Korean Odo Kwan National
Championshps, Korean National Correctional Officer Championships & Korean national Championships and etc.
He majored in Taekwondo at Yong In University(former Judo
College), a 4 year college, which is the most famous athletic
college in Korea. He transferred to Kyonggi University after he was
discovered by a Taekwondo scout and later graduated from there. He started
teaching Taekwondo as an instructor when he was 17 years old and he continued
to teach Taekwondo in a private school, public school and in the Korean
army.
He came to the United States in the Fall of 1992 with a 5th degree black belt. Now he is 8th Degree Black belt candidate of WTF. He majored in Education at New York City University. He taught college students Taekwondo as the Director of Queen's College Sports Academy from 1995 to 1998. He opened schools in West Long Branch and Wall Township in 1997.
